Most people look at the Fifine AmpliGame D6 like it’s only for gamers and streamers, but I’m not a gamer. In this video I tested it the way I actually work day-to-day: editing, bouncing between apps, and trying to stay in flow when I’ve got way too many windows open. It didn’t fix my attention span, but it absolutely saved me time by cutting down all those wasted clicks from hunting through menus. Out of the box, setup was pretty simple with the Fifine Stream Controller app. I mapped keys to the tools I use the most—stuff like ChatGPT, Adobe Voice Enhancer, and Lightroom—and then organized everything into “scenes.” The best part is when you link a scene to an app, the D6 automatically switches layouts as soon as you’re working in that program. For Final Cut Pro, I grabbed a shortcut pack and built a dedicated scene so I can hit one button for things like cutting clips, cropping, waveform, and scaling instead of reaching across the keyboard. The only real downside is the learning curve if you’ve never used a stream deck, especially with custom action flows, and I wish there were more tutorials. But once you dial it in and build around your workflow, the D6 pays you back every single day with more flow and less friction.
