IRISH POTATO BREAD | Around the World in 80 Breads!

In today's video, we travel to Ireland and make and bake Irish Potato Bread. This is the 4th recipe in our Around the World in 80 Breads series. The recipe is listed below: IRISH POTATO BREAD 2 cups mashed potatoes (I used mashed potato flakes!) They should be cold 1 cup all-purpose flour 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened ½ tsp salt ¼ tsp baking soda Place mashed potatoes in a mixing bowl. Add the flour, salt, and butter. Mix until a soft dough forms. If you find it’s a bit sticky, just add a little more flour Turn the dough onto a floured surface. Knead gently for a few moments to bring it all together. Roll dough to about ½ inch thick. Cut into circles or triangles. Heat a non-stick or cast-iron pan over medium heat. You do not need to add oil if using a non-stick or cast-iron. Cook pieces for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown spots form.
