EASY APPLE SAUCE SNACK CAKE

In today's video Jill whips up a tasty and very quick recipe for an apple sauce snack cake. Perfect for an afternoon or morning break time, or in the evening with a cup of your favorite tea. Apple Sauce Snack Cake Jill 4 Today, June 6, 2022 Ingredients: 1/2 cup applesauce 1/2 cup water ¼ cup vegetable oil 2 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon white vinegar 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/3 cup granulated sugar 3/4 teaspoon salt ¾ teaspoon baking powder ¾ teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon ¼ teaspoon nutmeg ½ cup chopped walnuts How to Make: Oil an 8” x 8” baking pan and Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees F. Oven rack should be in the center of the oven In a large bowl combine the dry ingredients (including the sugar) in a small bowl. Set aside. In a smaller bowl combine the wet ingredients. Whisk well – the oil and water may not emulsify easily, and that’s ok. Add the wet ingredients to the dry. Mix until incorporated. Add the chopped walnuts (if using). Spread into the prepared baking pan. Bake for approximately 20 minutes. The cake took 25 minutes in my oven. This is a great little cake for two. Extras can be stored in the refrigerator for the next day.
