About This Video

WE’RE FINALLY BACK HAHA — and I genuinely mean it this time. In this vlog, I’m back on campus as an M2 (second year) med student at NUS, rushing out the door because my first lesson is at 8:30 and it’s literally pouring outside. We just finished a pretty rough exam, and now we’re wrapping up our last neural block before finals in about 6 weeks… which is wild because after that we’re basically heading into M3. My day is packed: lessons, meetings, and a tutorial to end things off. During my lunch break, I bump into my “grand grand grand counselor” (the med school house counselor system is kinda a legacy thing), and I get to sit in while she revises for her M5 finals — she links drugs for heart conditions to what we’re learning now, and it’s honestly so cool seeing how second-year content connects all the way to fifth year. I also meet faculty to plan for open house and how we can make it more student-led and personal for applicants. At night, I camp in the study room (aka “the dungeon” because I basically lived there in December) to give an online talk to polytechnic students interested in medicine. Around 90 people showed up, the questions were really solid, and it reminded me a lot of when I was applying — which is why I love doing these sessions to give back.
