The mountain bike boom is over. The hype. The easy money. The nonstop new-bike releases. And depending on who you listen to, that means mountain biking is dying. I don’t think that’s true. In this video, I take an honest look at where mountain biking actually stands in 2026. What happened to the bike industry after the pandemic boom. Why discounts never went away. What this means for local bike shops. Why some YouTube creators are stepping away. And where everyday riders and creators like me fit into all of this. This isn’t a doom-and-gloom video. And it’s not hype either. It’s a real conversation about what changes when the bubble pops, who survives when the hype is gone, and why I think mountain biking might actually be entering a better, more honest era.
