What’s up everyone—I'm Jack Fossett, and in this video I’m demoing and reviewing the DOD Rubberneck Analog Delay. At its core, it’s a great-sounding straightforward analog delay, and I always appreciate when a pedal that can get “outside the box” still nails the inside-the-box tones when push comes to shove. I run it clean for a chunk of the demo so you can really hear the fidelity of the repeats, what the modulation is doing, and how the basic Time, Repeats, and Level controls sit in a real-world guitar tone. Where the Rubberneck really separates itself, though, is the stuff you can actually use live—especially the press-and-hold footswitch functions. If you’ve ever twisted the time knob mid-song and gotten those wacky pitch-bendy noises, this pedal lets you control that kind of psychedelic behavior with your foot, instead of kneeling down and hoping you can get the knob back to the exact right spot. I also cover features like subdivisions, modulation Rate/Depth, Gain/Tone for the modulation, Rubberneck rate and regeneration adjust, tails, and even a send/return plus an optional external footswitch.
