What do I think after five years of continuous use of the Lamy 2000? Is it worth it? Does it live up to its "iconic" status? Being long-term, and because I wanted to share some extra thoughts on the design and other details, this one's longer form than usual. I've added timestamps below. About This Video

I’ve carried and used the LAMY 2000 continuously for about five years, so this video is my long-term, lived-in take on one of the most “iconic” fountain pens out there. I walk through the background of the design, the features that make it such a classic, and the little details you only really notice after thousands of pages—like how the cap, clip, and overall Bauhaus vibe hold up in real daily use. I also get into why this pen is still in my rotation, and where it can absolutely annoy you if you don’t know what you’re getting into. I cover the nib experience and the quirks to watch for, run through the specs, and show the filling process. Then I do size comparisons against a few familiar pens, talk about what it’s like to actually live with the 2000 day after day, and finish with a writing sample using Diamine Oxford Blue on Rhodia dot grid. Bottom line: I’m not here to hype it just because it’s famous—I’m here to tell you what it’s like after years of use, what it does well, and what might make you call it a dud for your particular preferences.
