In this video I’m reviewing the xDuoo TA-20 balanced tube headphone amplifier, and I’m focusing on the stuff that actually matters when you live with an amp day-to-day: the design, how it’s put together, and—most importantly—how it sounds. I walk through the look and layout first, then get right into sound quality and why this amp ended up being a “keeper” for me. The big takeaway is pairing. I loved the TA-20 with my Sennheiser HD 800 S, and that combo is the reason I’m so positive on it. I’m not trying to overcomplicate it—if you’re looking for a balanced tube amp that can bring a really enjoyable listen to a high-end headphone like the HD800S, this one impressed me.
