In this live demo, we showcase how Ignite UI’s powerful theming engine works together with the Ignite UI Theming MCP server to automatically generate and customize application themes using AI. Ignite UI provides a unified theming framework across Angular, React, Web Components, and Blazor, allowing developers to create reusable themes that can be copied between projects and frameworks. The theming system is built on CSS variables, Sass logic, and design tokens, enabling scalable and maintainable design systems. In this session, we demonstrate how an AI agent can analyze an existing Angular application and automatically generate a Rose Pine-inspired dark theme, modify typography, customize components, and even adapt the design system — all by using simple prompts. In this demo you'll see: How Ignite UI themes work across frameworks Creating a custom color palette automatically Generating a full dark theme using AI Updating fonts and typography globally Customizing individual components like the Grid Switching between Material and Fluent design systems Making components react to roundness and sizing systems Using design tokens and CSS variables instead of hardcoded styles The Theming MCP acts as an expert assistant for Ignite UI, understanding the design system and applying consistent styling across your entire application without breaking maintainability. Instead of manually editing styles across dozens of components, developers can use AI-powered theming to generate clean, scalable UI customization in seconds.
