In this video I’m working on a Moto G Power (2022) that’s stuck in a boot loop—basically it keeps restarting over and over. I’m going to give you several fixes you can do right now, and none of them require taking the phone apart. First, I always start simple: take the case off, then do a power-button restart the right way—press and hold the power button and do not let go until you see the Motorola logo, then let go and let it try to boot normally. If that doesn’t work, I walk you through a few more methods I use all the time: pressing the power button in and out three times (to loosen it up in case it’s jammed with lint/coffee/soda), trying the same restart while the phone is plugged in and charging, then the “tap method,” “massage method,” and even the “smack method” to help a slightly dislodged ribbon/cable reseat. Last, I show my “freezer method” (15–20 minutes, no case) and then try the power-button hold again while it’s cold. If you’ve tried everything once and it didn’t work, I recommend repeating the steps—two, three, even up to seven or eight times—because most of you should be able to break out of the boot loop.
