About This Video

In this video I’m using a Moto G Power (2022) and I’ll show you how to transfer photos and videos straight to a Windows computer (PC or laptop) using a cable. The big thing to understand is the cable situation: the stock charging cable is usually USB-A to USB-C, so your computer needs a USB-A port. If your laptop only has USB-C, I show you two easy options—either use a USB-C to USB-C cable, or use a USB-A to USB-C adapter so you can still make the connection. Once you’re plugged in, the key step is on the phone: pull down the notification shade and tap the “Android system…charging this device via USB” message. By default it’s set to “no data transfer,” so you need to switch it to “File transfer.” After that, on Windows I open File Explorer (the yellow folder), go to “This PC,” click the Moto G Power 2022, then Internal shared storage > DCIM > Camera. From there I typically create a new folder on the desktop (like “moto”) and drag-and-drop the photos/videos over. It’s pretty simple—copy finishes, disconnect, and you’re done. Questions or issues? Comment below. Good luck, guys.
