The new VJ Ultra 3 is by far VJ's best trail running shoe to date. But is it really ultra worthy? What are the big updates here that now make this shoe a legit contender on the trail running scene? The new SuperFOAMance midsole formulation is surely a big one - it feels great underfoot. Go ahead and completely disregard the previous V1/2 midsole foam and feel from your memory bank! In this full review, I take them out for some steep climbing and descending as part of my training for some upcoming races. I also do a lap in the MAXx2 for comparison.
