Lately the weather has been all over the place here—pouring rain one day and snowing the next—and it honestly just reminds me how quickly life can change. In this decorate with me, I’m finishing up my spring/Easter decorating and bringing everything together in my living room and entryway. I start the way I always do: pulling out a few pieces, laying them all out, and using that as a visual “game plan” before I commit to placing anything (especially on the mantel, because it’s the main event in this room). I also talk through one of my real-life decorating challenges: the big speaker my husband insisted on having right by the mantel. If it were up to me, it probably wouldn’t be there—but I do my best to work around it so the whole setup still feels balanced and not too crowded. My biggest tip in this video is layering: I build on the garland that’s already up there until it feels fuller, more lived-in, and not flat. To keep the couch simple, I just swap out pillow covers—my Target bunny print is my favorite easy way to bring in Easter without doing too much. Then I wrap up in the entryway with a simple refresh, adding soft pink eggs into the garland to tie everything together for the season.
