Announcement of the 2022 Holberg Prize and Nils Klim Prize

The recipients of the 2022 Holberg Prize and the 2022 Nils Klim Prize will be announced on Monday, 14 March, at 9:00 CET / 04:00 EST. The Holberg Prize is an international prize awarded annually for outstanding contributions to research in the humanities, social sciences, law and theology. The Prize is worth NOK 6,000,000 (approximately EUR 600,000 / USD 685,000). The Nils Klim Prize is awarded in the same academic fields, to a scholar under 35 years of age, from/in a Nordic country, and is worth NOK 500,000 (approximately EUR 50,000). The main speakers at the event will be Margareth Hagen, Rector of the University of Bergen and Kjersti Fløttum, Chair of the Holberg Board. We will also hear citations from the Holberg Committee and the Nils Klim Committee.
