Announcement for the Holberg Prize and Nils Klim Prize 2018

On 14 March we will announce the winner of the Holberg Prize and Nils Klim Prize 2018. The announcement ceremony will take place at the Library of Humanities, University of Bergen (Norway) from 09:00 (GMT+1). The Holberg Prize The Holberg Prize is an international research prize awarded annually for outstanding contributions in the arts and humanities, social sciences, law or theology. The prize is worth NOK 6 million (approx. EUR 617,000 / USD 760,000) and was established by the Norwegian parliament in 2003. Previous laureates include Julia Kristeva, Jürgen Habermas, Bruno Latour, Stephen Greenblatt and Onora O'Neill. The Nils Klim Prize The Nils Klim Prize is awarded annually to a Nordic scholar under the age of 35 for excellent research contributions in the arts and humanities, social sciences, law or theology. The Prize is worth NOK 500 000 (approx. EUR 50,000 / USD 64,000) and is presented together with the Holberg Prize each year.
