In this video I’m making custom deep-engraved brass coins from start to finish, and the real focus is everything that happens after the laser is done. I’m using the Monport GA60 MOPA fiber laser to engrave a handful of all-brass coin blanks with detailed designs, then I run a bunch of cleanup and finishing experiments—because honestly, this was my first time trying to make these coins look “done” instead of just freshly engraved. I test different ways to clean and brighten the brass (wire wheel, Brasso, and Dremel-style polishing), and then I go the other direction and try blackening/weathering to make the engraving pop. The whole point is comparing results side-by-side: what removes residue fast, what gives the nicest shine without rounding over details, and what kind of darkening actually stays in the recessed engraving.
