In this review I put the HeyGears UltraCraft Reflex through a full month of real use, because resin printers are notorious for being “great on paper” and then turning into a troubleshooting hobby. The big technical hook here is the Reflex using a 385+ nm light source instead of the usual 405 nm, which is aimed at faster, more complete curing and better compatibility with more demanding materials. I also dug into the whole “smart printer” pitch: automatic bed leveling, auto resin filling, a heated resin tray, and AI-assisted peeling force management that’s supposed to reduce failures and take a lot of the guesswork out of dialing in settings. I walk through HeyGears’ Blueprint Studio slicer workflow, then tie it into their Wash and Cure ecosystem so you can see what the end-to-end experience looks like if you buy into the platform. For materials, I tested two of their resins—PAT10 transparent and PAU10 ABS-like—so I could evaluate both cosmetic/optical results and more functional, tougher parts. The takeaway is pretty simple: if you want a resin printer that’s designed to work out of the box with less fiddling, the Reflex is legitimately compelling, but there are trade-offs that come with that more integrated, ecosystem-style approach.
