In this video I show you how to make the Anycubic ACE Pro recognize basically any filament spool you own, without buying Anycubic-branded RFID spools. The trick is using cheap NTAG213 NFC/RFID stickers (we’re talking about roughly 64 cents per tag) and a free Android app to write the same kind of filament data the ACE Pro is looking for—material, color, and the info that makes the workflow “just work” when you load a spool. The real magic here is an open-source project from DnG-Craft (ACE-RFID). I walk through the simple process: grab the tags, write them with your phone (or use a USB NFC reader/writer if you’d rather do it at a PC), stick the tag on the spool, and now the ACE Pro and slicer can sync the right filament details automatically. If you’re doing multi-color prints and you’re tired of babysitting profiles or guessing what’s on a random roll, this is one of those small upgrades that pays off fast across PLA, PETG, and pretty much anything you run through an ACE Pro-compatible setup.
