While this is not new, there where already cages like this from third parties. However, Insta360 seemed to improve them by adding in a few toggle switches that can zoom, or scroll through things like picture profiles or even exposure compensation. Again cool but not really mission critical and more a quality of life ease of use than anything super advanced. We also saw a flip up sun visor/screen protector, again meh, but the real news the also presented an attachable printer so you can print out photos from you Insta360 Ace Pro 2. Think polaroid camera from the past. Details are light on this one, and of course is not yet offered on the website and we have no clue what the price will end up being. So, no new camera yet from Insta360 for launch season but this again is to be expected. Unlike ALL the other action camera companies who stick to yearly launches, we may see another action camera from them in 3 years or in a month, you really can never tell with Insta360. And them being different is cool, but annoying as Insta360 is not really a fan of fixing via firmware rather more of a fan of just selling you another camera and hardware. Ok enough bashing on Insta360 Ace Pro 2 and Insta' questions practices (trust me the lack of schedule is the least of it), I thought I would not like this, but I do. I am ALL for making action cameras NOT action cameras, mainly because it makes so may of the purest made that feel you can not do, or should not do certain things with action cameras. I hear the comments not, Action cameras are not made for that, well someone better tell the the acton camera companies because the are heavily leaning into the idea of making an action camera a hybrid camera that is inching closet to doing it all. The Insta360 printer is certainly a novelty for some, but I do see value and I think the kids will love it. Will I carry it, likely not as its still big and bulky, but its a neat idea for some. While I do not mix words when I say I am not a fan Insta360 and their business practices I do like they are pushing the boundaries of what action cameras are supposed to do, or in some peoples eyes allowed to do.
