021-22 Phillip Tennant Furniture Artisan Lecture: Jason Schneider Join the Herron community for the Phillip Tennant Visiting Artisan Lecture, which will be delivered by Jason Schneider, a Michigan-based artist and furniture maker. Schneider has recently explored the possibilities of corrugated cardboard to create functional furniture and sculptural objects that elevate this seemingly everyday material to a new level. This event, which is free and open to the public, will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 6, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Eskenazi Hall’s Basile Auditorium. Schneider’s talk is held in conjunction with the exhibition COLOR follows FORM follows TEXTURE: New Work by Jason Schneider, which will be on display in the Basile Gallery from Sept. 17 to Oct. 22, and is partially supported by Herron’s furniture design program. The annual Phillip Tennant Furniture Artisan Lecture is made possible by a gift from James W. and Nancy C. Smith. Visit herrongalleries.org for details on exhibitions, talks, parking, and more.
