From June 26 to August 10, 2024, the Berkshire, Reese, and Paul Galleries transformed into three separate exhibition spaces to feature the work of three contemporary women artists: Ayo Jackson, Gloria Martinez-Granados, and Johanna Winters. Each artist explored their distinct identities and perspectives through a variety of mediums, including performance, photography, printmaking, sculpture, video, and puppetry. "3 by 3" was organized by three Midwest curators: Mike Calway-Fagen, Linda Tien, and Elias Garza Garcia. Herron Galleries expressed gratitude to the following community members and organizations for their work in making this exhibition a success: Arte Mexicano en Indiana, The Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance, The Indianapolis Liberation Center, and 900 North Studios. "3 by 3" is not just an exhibition; it’s an immersive experience that invites viewers to explore and celebrate the diverse voices and artistic visions of Ayo Jackson, Gloria Martinez-Granados, and Johanna Winters. This is a must-see exhibition that will leave a lasting impression on all who visit.
