Easter used to be about candy, family, and celebration… now it’s all about “restock” influencers filling your feed with plastic eggs, themed snacks, and decorations you’ll barely use. About This Video

We’re barely a week into March and my feed is already a pastel-colored Easter landfill: “pantry restocks,” “fridge restocks,” candy drawers, snack carts, and grown adults swapping out perfectly fine stuff for bunny-shaped, limited-edition junk they’ll use for two weeks. In this video I break down how holidays that used to be simple—candy, family, celebration—have turned into back-to-back spending traps. And it’s not just the plastic eggs and themed paper towels; it’s the whole cycle of decanting, buying containers, refilling the containers, and then doing it all over again for the next holiday color palette. I also talk about the real cost of this trend: it keeps people on autopilot, bleeding money in “little leaks” that sink the ship. Corporations are geniuses at this—slight recipe changes, different shapes, different colors, marked up like crazy, then dumped on clearance when the calendar flips. Meanwhile people aren’t “restocking” their savings accounts; they’re racking up credit card debt, personal loans, and even renting storage units to hold all the clutter. The takeaway is simple: not everything needs to be festive, and if you want financial freedom, you can’t keep letting trends turn your wallet into a subscription service.
