In this video, I’m doing a full flip through of my Classic Happy Planner frankenplanner that I use as my work planner in higher ed. I’m a “freaking planner,” which means I combine multiple planners and inserts into one system so I can keep everything in one place—my to-do lists, meeting notes, projects, daily planning, weekly/monthly planning, and a dedicated space for ideas and brainstorming. I also walk through the exact pieces I’m using, like my Classic Deluxe Cover (black), mint/white snap-in pen case for pens/washi/stickers, purple middle discs, and a Homebody pocket folder (still one of my all-time favorite collections). I show how each section supports my day-to-day productivity: a master work to-do list where I capture everything first and prioritize later, a meeting notes setup using lined note paper, and a projects section with project fill paper to map out initiatives and departmental work. For daily planning, I use Classic daily sheets to track my top three priorities, my full to-do list, and my schedule so I can see where my time is actually going (especially meetings). I also rely on my monthly plan as both a planning and reflection tool—so when the next year rolls around, I can look back and plan smarter based on what I really worked on.
