We stayed two nights in a Superior Suite. This hotel is located 17km away from Sigiriya Rock. Concept of the resort was based on Ritigala Monastery. This Hotel is constructed in Habarana village with a unique atmosphere showcasing the natural beauty of surroundings. Unlike a usual luxury hotel, this Monastery Era concept is extremely highlighted when walking through the hotel grounds and its is really beautiful. TAMARIND is a Superior Suite which has a perfect colour combination of the interior and a great view of the Habarana Lake. This luxury suite has panoramic windows and French doors on either side of the building with an opening to private verandah and specially at the Lake side with more relaxing chairs. Living area has a lounge suite, TV and a DVD player, Mini bar, an office desk with a chair which can be separated from the Bedroom area with a fold up doors for more privacy. Extra comfort luxury bed, with bed side drawers either side. This room has an extra spacious bathroom with double showers, vanities a jacuzzi with a panoramic window over the Lake and comes with a full set of bathroom amenities including Toothbrushes, bath salt and many more. Tea coffee facilities, complementary water and a espresso coffee machine A separate Chest of drawer and a wardrobe with shirt hangers, Iron with iron board, a safe and bathroom slippers. Esala restaurant is the main restaurant of the Hotel, and it was full buffet for all three main meals during our stay (Friday dinner to Sunday Lunch) There is a mixture of different cultural cuisine included in the buffet. We taste the real authentic and village style Sri Lankan taste amongst most of the local dishes. We requested a special signature lunch with real Organic ingredients.
