About This Video

What’s up guys—welcome back to another GigaGeek video. In this one I’m building a Ryzen 5 5600X + ASUS TUF RTX 3060 gaming PC, and it’s basically a full build time-lapse, glamour shots, and then benchmarks to show what this combo can actually do. It took me around 2–3 hours to put together, and yeah… it took me forever to get this 3060, but I finally grabbed it at Micro Center and built this one for you guys. I break down every part I used and why I picked it. The 5600X is a 6-core/12-thread Zen 3 chip that’s just a super solid fit for this tier, and I went with the Vetroo V5 because the stock Wraith Stealth really isn’t very good if you care about temps. For storage I used the Samsung 980 1TB—Gen 3 is already extremely fast, and Gen 4 is honestly overkill unless you’re moving huge files all day. The Antec DF700 Flux ended up being one of my favorite cases I’ve worked with because it looks unique, has great airflow, and is just easy to build in. Then of course the RTX 3060 TUF—great cooling, solid design, and it absolutely crushes 1080p and 1440p gaming in the benchmark section.
