In this video I sit down with my very first trading PC build client, Sandeep Matai, and we talk about how his 2021 stock trading PC has held up two years later. He breaks down the real problems he had before—trying to trade off a laptop with multiple screens, heavy data flow, tons of audio feeds, and an intensive platform (thinkorswim). When you’re placing 100–200 trades a day, even small lag or freezing isn’t just annoying—it can get expensive fast. I walk through how I evaluated his workflow instead of doing the usual “just buy a gaming PC” big-box-store advice. The big challenge was multi-monitor support (he wanted 6–8 displays) without wasting money on overpriced gaming GPUs that cap out at four monitors. We talk about the build experience, how I package systems and include simple setup instructions, and what mattered most: speed, reliability, and consistency. Two years later, Sandeep says the PC is still fast, boots in seconds, runs around 100 charts smoothly, and even supports his teaching/mentoring sessions at Matai Trading University with solid video capability. We also tease what’s next: new platforms, new data feeds, and AI/bot/algorithmic trading—meaning even more performance-focused upgrades down the road.
