About This Video

In this video I unbox and review the ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 3060—aka the card I ended up with after standing in line for over two hours. I walk through everything in the box (yes, including the TUF Gaming “pokemon card”), then we get into the fun part: peel time. After that, I break down the aesthetics—this one has that gunmetal look, TUF logos on the fans, and just a small amount of RGB that you can control through ASUS Aura. Then I go over the specs and the stuff you actually care about for a build: Ampere architecture, 12GB GDDR6, 3584 CUDA cores, 192-bit bus, and the OC boost clock. I also cover power and fitment (8-pin power, and it’s a thick card—plan for 3+ slots for airflow), plus the dual BIOS (Performance vs Quiet). Cooling is a big highlight here: triple axial-tech fans, 0dB fan stop under 50°C, a MaxContact-style heatsink, and even some flow-through cooling on the back. Pricing-wise, I paid around $520—high, but the cooler is legit and it was what I could get—so I’d still recommend it for builds like a Ryzen 5 5600X or Ryzen 7 5800X, and I’ve got a 5600X + 3060 build coming soon.
