About This Video

In this video I unbox and do a quick overview of the ASUS ROG Strix B550-A (white), and tell me this motherboard doesn’t look amazing. I walk through the box, the badges (PCIe 4.0 ready, Aura Sync, B550 chipset), and the big compatibility win: it’s Ryzen 3000 and Ryzen 5000 desktop ready, so you shouldn’t need a BIOS update just to get up and running. Then I crack it open and go through the accessories—SATA cables, manuals, stickers, a keychain, an M.2 pad, M.2 standoffs (don’t lose those), and zip ties for cleaner cable management. After that I get into what matters: aesthetics and specs. The white/black look is super consistent, with a really clean I/O shroud, matching VRM and M.2 heatsinks, and that color-shifting ROG styling. Spec-wise you get four RAM slots up to 128GB and up to 4600MHz (if your kit supports it), 12+2 power stages that I’d feel good about for a 5600X and maybe a 5800X, plus dual M.2 (top is PCIe 4.0, second is PCIe 3.0). I also cover headers, RGB (4-pin and 3-pin—don’t mix them), and the rear I/O including 2.5GbE, BIOS Flashback, and a USB-C port—which I’m really happy to see because it’s basically the future. I’ll be using this board in a frost white themed build soon.
