Recently a stock trader reached out to me asking if I can build a PC for him. In this video, I will show a quick montage of me building the computer and I will also give an explanation on each part. Enjoy! PS: I did have to switch out the RAM due to it not being on the motherboard QVL list. About This Video

In this build, I put together a workflow-first stock trading PC for a client who wanted a clean setup that can drive up to eight monitors. I walk through a quick build montage, then I break down the parts I picked and why—because with trading rigs, you don’t just “throw parts at it.” You prioritize what actually impacts platform responsiveness and chart performance, especially when the market gets really active. For CPU, I went with a Ryzen 7 3700X because Thinkorswim can be surprisingly demanding, and 8 cores / 16 threads lets you keep the platform smooth while you’ve got browsers and other apps running in the background. I paired that with 32GB of Crucial Ballistix 3600MHz CL16, since RAM usage can get heavy if you let Thinkorswim breathe. The most important (and most annoying) decision was the GPU setup: instead of overspending on a gaming card, I used two NVIDIA Quadro P620s—stable, great at 2D, and together they can run up to eight displays. I also cover the ASUS Prime X570-Pro board choice, a fast 1TB TeamGroup SSD, an EVGA 600BR PSU, and a Fractal Meshify C case—plus my honest complaints about cable routing in that case.
