In this video I’m doing one of my absolute favourite things: turning a pile of scraps into something that feels properly special. I make a brand new journal that sits somewhere between a scrapbook and a junk journal, and I’m basically just rummaging through what I’ve already got and seeing what wants to become a page. It’s very much a “let’s experiment and see” crafting session, with lots of little choices that add up to a really magical, aged, storybook-y vibe. I play around with stamping and different inks to build up layers and get those intricate details without it looking too perfect (because honestly, too perfect is boring). I’m aiming for paper that looks loved and lived-in, like it’s had a life before it landed on my desk. Then I finish it all off with a wax seal, which instantly makes everything feel more classic and intentional—like, yes, this is a proper journal now.
