I hate wasting pretty powders (honestly it feels like a tiny craft crime), so in this resin experiment I tried a slightly unhinged idea: I left all my leftover pigments, mica powders, and neon craft powders sitting in a silicone mould… and then poured black epoxy resin straight over the top. The big questions were: will it actually capture those colours in a cool, dramatic way, or am I about to ruin a perfectly good mould for the sake of curiosity? In the video I’m basically doing three things at once—testing a “save the powders” hack, seeing how black resin behaves when it hits random powder leftovers, and checking if the resin pour will kind of clean the mould as it cures and pulls away. It’s part satisfying reveal, part chaos, and very much me waffling my way through an experiment. The takeaway: if you’ve got a mould that’s turned into a powder graveyard, this is a fun way to potentially rescue the colour and get a surprise piece out of it—just go in expecting weird results, because powders love to do their own thing.
