In this video I’m doing one of my absolute favourite things: turning literal trash and forgotten bits & bobs into something that looks like it belongs on a witch’s shelf. I make a DIY witch potion box and fill it with tiny “potions” and trinkets using recycled packaging, little glass bottles, herbs, paper scraps, and whatever oddments I can rummage up. The vibe is dark cottagecore—moody, a bit gothic, and very much “found in the back of an old apothecary drawer.” I waffle my way through the experimenting (because of course I do), showing how I build up layers of texture and story so it doesn’t just look like a box with stuff in it—it looks like a collection. The big takeaway is that you don’t need fancy supplies to make magical decor: if you can collect interesting shapes, add a few aged labels, and commit to a theme, you can make something properly whimsical.
