In Part 4 of my Shree Ganesha Color String Portrait live series, I continue building the portrait step-by-step, focusing on keeping the color flow clean and the thread path consistent as the image gets more detailed. This stage is where the portrait really starts to “read” from a distance—so I pay extra attention to how each line contributes to the shading, especially around the key facial features and the curves that make Ganesha’s form feel soft and balanced. Because this is a live session, the process is paced like a real working table: I keep checking alignment, tightening the look by adjusting the direction of the wraps, and making sure the colors don’t muddy when layers overlap. If you’re following along, my biggest takeaway here is to stay patient and trust the layering—string portraits always look messy mid-way, and then suddenly the depth appears. I also recommend pausing often to compare your progress with the reference so you can correct early instead of fixing a big section later.
