Clement from Khimaira Strategy brought extensive experience and training working in and around vehicles with firearms, and direct collaboration and instruction with subject matter expert William Petty from Centrifuge. For our Good Dude Concepts Demo Day, we set up multiple vehicles to showcase the BRB (Breach and Rescue Bar). Following the demo, we transitioned into practical vehicle applications. Covering real-world techniques for operating in and around vehicles, similar to skills commonly emphasized in law enforcement training. Clement led a detailed block of instruction on deviation vs. deflection when shooting through and potentially across laminated windshield glass. The ballistic protection provided by unarmored vehicle pillars and how to stack them to your favor, effective body positioning to minimize overexposure, along with several other key concepts and practices. A huge thank you to @Khimaira-Strategy-Tactics and Chris from @GoodDudeConcepts for their time, support and for making it out to these range days. It was a great experience, and we truly value the collaboration. We’re looking forward to working together again in the future. 00:00 – Intro and early ballistic testing preview 01:21 – Introduction: Clement from Khimaira Strategy 02:24 – Crediting the VCQB (Vehicle Close Quarters Battle) curriculum 04:45 – The "Shoot or Bail" dilemma: Inside vs. Outside response 05:14 – Demonstration: Ballistic deviation through a windshield 07:11 – Understanding Deviation vs. Deflection 08:33 – Reactionary Gap Drill: Timing your response 11:55 – Analyzing shot effectiveness at 5 vs. 15 yards 14:55 – Testing trajectories through bumpers and plastic 16:42 – Law Enforcement Data: Most common hit zones around vehicles 17:31 – Stacking the Pillars: A, B, and C column protection 20:19 – Why "Going Low" can cost you mobility and visibility 23:19 – Pro Tip: Moving a vehicle using a seatbelt 24:10 – "Optic In, Mag Out": Shaping your cover 26:40 – Live Fire: Testing 9mm vs. structural pillars 28:20 – Live Fire: Testing 5.56 rifle rounds vs. structural pillars 31:22 – Heavy Calibers: .308 and 338 Lapua vs. modern vehicles 33:55 – Mythbusting: Shooting through windows vs. doors 35:46 – Live Fire: Can car doors stop incoming fire? 37:54 – Adaptive Position Drills: Standing, Squatting, and Urban Prone 41:29 – Correcting "Dot In, Mag Out" positioning 46:19 – Angle Management: Closing down the threat's mobility 48:22 – Rifle Applications: Applying VCQB principles with long guns 52:14 – The Dunning-Kruger Effect and the mindset of constant learning Website: http://www.gbrsgroupgear.com Follow on Instagram GBRS GROUP: http://www.instagram.com/gbrsgroup GBRS GROUP BTS: https://www.instagram.com/gbrsgroup.bts DJ SHIPLEY: https://www.instagram.com/dj_shipley85/ COLE FACKLER: https://www.instagram.com/therealphatty/ JOEY HAHN: https://www.instagram.com/beardedfrogman/ JAY CAL: https://www.instagram.com/jay_cal87/?hl=en ANDY: https://www.instagram.com/andy.capen/ VERNON GRIFFITH: https://www.instagram.com/vernongriffith4/?hl=en CLEMENT: https://www.instagram.com/unsatisfied_khimaira/ KHIMAIRA STRATEGY: https://www.instagram.com/khimairastrategy/ GOOD DUDE CONCEPTS: https://www.instagram.com/good_dude_concepts/ Patreon Exclusive content and perks: http://www.patreon.com/gbrsgroup Follow on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@gbrs_group Follow on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/gbrsgroupgear Follow on X: https://www.x.com/GBRSGroup
