I also tested the microphone in USB mode so you can hear if there's a difference from the XLR mode. Unfortunately, the on/off switch (which can act as an onboard mute) makes an audible click when engaged. The ATR2100X is very easy to drive (meaning you can pair it with just about any audio interface available). The Audio Technica ATR2100X's headphone jack and volume dial function as you would expect.
