RODECaster Video Firmware Update - NDI Support!

The new RØDECaster Video Firmware v1.2.04 introduces a powerful suite of updates designed to elevate live production. Key features include full NDI support with PTZ camera control, updates to RØDE Capture for seamless integration, and creative tools like luma keying, key masking, and layer stretch for professional overlays. Users can now add inputs as overlays, enable auto-switching with the RØDECaster Pro II and Duo, and customize visuals with rounded corners. Alongside these, the release delivers minor UI improvements, new output mixes, and ISO recording synchronization, ensuring smoother workflows and more dynamic video content creation. NDI|HX, or High Efficiency NDI, prioritizes lower bandwidth usage, while SpeedHQ, also known as Full NDI or High Bandwidth NDI, prioritizes the highest video quality and lowest latency. RODE Capture app. RODE Capture NDI Update Pre-Mute Meters The meters are now pre-mute and greyed out when mute is active. This shows you that the channel is active but not part of the mix. New Output Mixes Separate output mixes are available for HDMI A, HDMI B, and NDI. Host Name Change The default name for all units will be changed to RCV-JF(serial number). This ensures each unit has a unique ID for networking reasons. There's a pencil icon next to the name in the RODECaster app to indicate you can change the name. Link/Unlink Controls for USB Same behavior as HDMI channels, default linked but can be split. This is useful for hosting additional wireless microphones and splitting them.
