Presonus Quantum ES 2 Review

IMPORTANT NOTE: I HAD TO RE-RECORD THIS VIDEO 3 TIMES! I'M HAD ISSUES WITH THE MAIN VIDEO GLITCHING SO THAT'S WHY THERE IS SO MUCH B-ROLL. THE DEVICE WAS SENT BACK SO THERE WAS NO WAY TO KEEP RE-RECORDING THE SAME VIDEO OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Here's my review for the Presonus Quantum ES 2 audio interface. The Quantum ES 2 is an excellent audio interface with a couple exceptions. First, the build quality is exceptional. Between the solid 1.5 pound body, smooth knob, and responsive buttons, the ES 2 delivers. The sound quality is outstanding! It reminded me of the M-Audio Air 192|4 but much better! There are some knit picks though. First, you have to make sure your device can deliver the correct power to the unit in order to power the ES 2. If your device can't deliver the proper power, you'll need to purchase a wall outlet that meets the unit's specifications. Another concern I have is centered around the device's inability to direct monitor the inputs via the hardware by itself. You'll need to set it up the monitoring through software in order to hear your own voice back through the headphones. At 32 samples and a sample rate of 96 kHz, we’ve seen RTL (round trip latency) measurements of around 3 ms (milliseconds). Additionally, at a sample rate of 48 kHz, we’ve seen RTL measurements of around 4 ms. Due to factors such as type of computer and operating system (Windows or MacOS), latency will differ and vary between users.
