About This Video

Hey y’all—this video is one of those cozy, all-over-the-place slow living days where I’m just saving things from landfills and chatting about whatever pops into my head. I start by finally dealing with the semolina flour I used to press/dry flowers (before we went fully gluten-free for my husband’s celiac). I pull out what survived, and I use only the resin I already own (because resin isn’t great for the environment, and I don’t want to repurchase) to make a little dish with purple clovers and rocks. It’s been curing forever, but it came out so pretty and it’s such a “use what you have” moment. Then we get into mending: I revive my absolute favorite $5 Poshmark sandals by hammering in tiny spikes from Ace Hardware to hold the sides down—my husband has been calling me a shoe cobbler ever since. After that, I turn a vintage swim cap from my aunt’s stuff into the cutest little bag in literally five minutes, and it ends up being a huge hit when I wear it out (people were stopping me to ask where it’s from). We wrap with a get ready with me where I talk Poshmark shipping dropping to around $6, how that’s helped my sales, why I’ve been off Instagram, and how I’m trying to wear what I already own in new ways—because that’s the whole point: consume less, create more. xo
