Come get ready with me for a very specific NYC night: a Tim Burton/Beetlejuice-themed restaurant, and I could not miss the chance to do my own take on Delia Deetz hair. If you know me, you know I love Beetlejuice (Joey and I were Beetlejuice and Lydia for Halloween), and even though I’m not a big sequel girlie, I am always down to build a whole look around a vibe. This GRWM is mostly about the hair—because I wanted those short, face-hugging pieces, I literally cut my hairline pieces for it. Dedication was dedicating. I walk you through my messy, real process: re-wetting my curls with hydration spray, blow-drying for volume (yes, even if it feels counterproductive), and then going in with drugstore styling gel to sculpt and pin the sides. The biggest takeaway is honestly mindset—this style took do it, redo it, cut it again, and I had to accept the first attempt wasn’t going to be the best. I also share little NYC bits: the restaurant was fun and quaint, but the bar next door was more my speed—quiet, lowkey, and less “I have to entertain the entertainer.” In the end, I finish the look with a maroon suit moment, gloves, and snake earrings… and yes, I basically matched the wall inside.
