About This Video

Hi guys—today was one of those “I have no time” GRWM days. I had to be in the city fast (and yes, I’m always running late), so I kept it pretty simple and did a quick little voiceover-style breakdown of what I actually put on my face. I started with tinted moisturizer over my usual moisturizer + serum, then did concealer on the lid, set it with a transition shade, and built warm browns to match my outfit. I tapped a gold shimmer on the lid with my finger, realized it was getting too one-note, and of course… pumped in some black. I also walked through my go-to face steps: setting powder (one I make and currently have on my Poshmark), brows with a black/brown mix and an angled brush, my signature cheek contour, bronzer for that sun-kissed C-shape, blush on my nose and cheeks, and highlight right where the sun would hit. Mascara is my number one product for opening up my eyes, and I’ve been back on my “white shimmer inner corner” era too. Then we got to the best part: the outfit. I wore the jacket I upcycled from my grandma’s blanket, and after everyone scared me about it falling apart, I reinforced the armholes with a brown zigzag stitch. It was super well-received at the event—so the moral of the story is: go where you’re appreciated, not tolerated.
