About This Video

In this live, I’m back after messing up my audio (again), and I run through what’s been going on: Arnold UK fitness expo, my Paris vlog update, and then the main debate—Gunna’s £50 run club. People were acting like paying £50 to run is some kind of financial crime, and I just don’t agree. People pay for events all the time, and the part everyone’s ignoring is that run clubs are basically networking events. If you pay, you get access to a room (or a run) full of people you can connect with—and apparently they even got food and extras, so the outrage felt like social media complaining for sport. I also react to personal finance creators doing the “5 things I don’t spend money on” content. Apart from the expensive class point, most of the tiny savings stuff (souvenirs, cinema snacks, phone cases) isn’t changing your life. What changes your standard of living is making more money and investing it, not pretending a £6 popcorn is why you’re broke. Then I answer career questions on standing out in investment banking: figure out what your team actually values and focus your time on what gets rewarded. Finally, I talk fitness: most finance people train because it manages stress, and I think everyone should lift and do cardio—if you breathe, you should be doing some sort of exercise. And on fasting: it only helps with weight loss if it puts you in a calorie deficit—there’s no way around that.
