In this video I dive into the Two Notes Metal Titans DynIR pack and focus on two very different flavors of heavy: Karl Sanders (Nile) and Jim Root (Slipknot). I start with Karl’s “Ra” cab—an old Marshall 4x12 loaded with Vintage 30s—and I’m running a guitar tuned to drop A (my Kil Vader) to keep it in that Nile territory. To me, that “Ra” cab is the quintessential Nile vibe: tight, aggressive, and super impressive for modern death metal rhythm tones. From there I check out the Sanders Creamback cab, which has that brighter top-end thing going on. It definitely sounds like a Marshall cab, and I even flip over to my clean tone to show how these DynIRs can help you finesse harsher clean channels (like on a 6505) into something actually usable. I also mess with a couple pedals (like the Sender V muff-style fuzz and the Lone Wolf Audio CIZIN/“Season”) just to show how they sit with these cabs. Then I jump to the Jim Root “Garson” 4x12—an old, roadworn Carvin cab that’s basically a piece of early Slipknot history. It’s a cool alternate tone and, if you want that early Slipknot sound, this is the cab I’d reach for. Overall, I still think these DynIR cabinets are some of the best you can get for touring, recording, or reamping—especially for the money.
