Yo, what’s up guys—Drew here. In this video I’m diving into the Two Notes Engineering DynIR world, specifically the Metal Titans DynIR Speaker Cabinet Collection. I’m demoing it, breaking down what makes DynIR different than the usual static IR “snapshot,” and showing you why, to my ears, these things sound absolutely insane for modern metal, death metal, hardcore, and basically any high-gain situation where you need tightness, punch, bite, and clarity. I walk you through my exact setup: my Peavey 6505+ into a Two Notes Torpedo Captor X, using my Ibanez RG565 (C standard, Vampire Kiss) and a Maxon ST9 Pro+ out front. Then inside Torpedo Remote I show how I actually dial cabs like a real session: start with one mic (usually a 57), adjust axis/distance, then blend in a second mic like a Royer 121 or other studio staples. From there I hit the post FX—simple EQ moves, a touch of enhancer brilliance, and I mess with the cabinet environments (studio, basement, loft, hall, cathedral, etc.) so you can hear how far you can push it. The big takeaway: the Metal Titans pack is loaded with usable cabinets (Rutan, Sanders, Romesh), and if you record, reamp, or tour with a tube amp, this is a ridiculously strong studio asset for the money—especially when it’s discounted.
