In this video I’m sharing a casual summer plus-size try-on haul that’s a total mix: American Eagle + Aerie are the bulk of it, and then I’ve got a couple Adidas pieces, a few Torrid finds, and two pairs of shoes. Shipping is obviously a little chaotic right now, so I filmed what I had on hand (with a few items still on the way). I start with an Aerie oversized distressed tee (size L) and my beloved American Eagle Dream Jeans Curvy high rise jegging crop in onyx black (size 16) — ultra stretchy, super comfy, and easy to move in. I also talk fit notes that actually matter if you’re shopping online: Aerie “oversized” usually lets me size down, while American Eagle can vary a lot depending on the fabric. I compare Dream Jeans vs the “Super Stretch” Curvy jeggings (and why Super Stretch can stretch out at the waist), plus I show you how inconsistent the “high rise” vs “super high rise” labeling can be. From there I try a soft & sexy tee (so pretty but stains/snags easily), a white denim jacket (size XL) that I unexpectedly fell in love with, an Adidas plus tee (2X runs smaller), a Torrid Fleetwood Mac Rumours tee (size 2), a lilac cold-shoulder top (size 0), and a stretchy Torrid jumpsuit (1X) with pockets that I feel genuinely confident in.
