Tonight was supposed to be Part 4 of my Resident Evil 9: Requiem playthrough (shoutout CAPCOM for the review code), but the real boss fight was my stream setup. We went live everywhere, I’m yappin’ with chat, doing the usual “you can’t tell me what to do, I’m single” energy, and then boom—my frames started dying immediately. I’m talking everything on the lowest possible settings, everything off, and it still looked like the game was running through a toaster. So instead of pretending it was fine, I walked you through what I actually do when an IRL/variety streamer’s PC starts acting up mid-live: checking caps, closing stuff, thinking about NDI, drivers, and why sometimes the problem isn’t the game at all—it’s the pipeline. Chat helped me narrow it down, and it looked like my NDI was out of date (and Nvidia drivers were a whole maybe-too). In the end, I made the call to end stream for a few minutes and restart after updating, because I’m not gonna sell you a slideshow and call it gameplay.
