This one’s a birthday stream, so you already know it’s chaos. I’m coming off a day at Knott’s Berry Farm (ate like a little gremlin… and then suddenly I’m like “give me all the bacon in the world, bro”), and then I hop on with Squid because it’s a double birthday move. We get the stream together going, I’m yelling at OBS/Twitch doing that weird “viewers go to zero then come back” thing, and I’m trying to keep the vibes up even though I straight up said I had no energy. Say yo. The main event: first time playing Resident Evil 5 with Squid. I’m messing with settings, the mouse/keyboard controls feel cursed (inverted, tanky, the whole deal), and we immediately get tossed into the “why is this game so hard right now?” experience. We’re scrambling for ammo, knifing people, yelling about barricading, and getting swarmed like five minutes in. It’s co-op panic, lots of “where are you?” and “I’m out of bullets,” plus me being distracted by loot like an idiot. Takeaway: RE5 does not care that it’s your birthday—bring ammo, learn quick turn, and don’t get greedy when the horde shows up.
