I went live for Part 2 of my early access run of Resident Evil 9: Requiem (shoutout CAPCOM for the review code), and it was one of those streams where the game is scary, chat is unhinged, and I’m just trying to keep it together. We start off in full “me and the boys backyard rave” energy, immediately get derailed into Disneyland bits (yes, the Wall‑E hat is canon), and then I lock in and get back into the nightmare that is surviving this game without getting jump-scared into orbit. While I’m pushing through the dark, gross sections and getting absolutely bullied by enemies (axes, lunges, blood effects—this game is nasty in a good way), we also go on a bunch of side quests: Disney pass rumors, Avatar getting “cancelled” (I would be so cool with that), why sequels ruin everything (Pirates should’ve stopped after the first one), and random deep cuts like “one pound fish” getting stuck in my head. We also do Tangia chat quizzes, I get closer to a Bean Boozled punishment, and I rant a little about escape room hints because I’ve seen too many people stare directly at the answer like it’s invisible ink. Overall: horror is back, I’m stressed, and we’re vibing.
