In this week’s travel vlog, we explore Calgary, Alberta for the very first time — and wow, did this lively outdoor city surprise us in the best way. With warm sunshine, parks along the Bow River, incredible food (including some dishes invented here!), iconic architecture, street art, and trendy neighbourhoods — Calgary is full of personality. We kick things off at RiverWalk & Prince’s Island Park, a beautiful green oasis just steps from downtown. Then we sip on Calgary’s iconic cocktail — the Caesar — which was invented here. After that, we wander historic Stephen Avenue (8th Ave) before heading to the grand Fairmont Palliser to try another Calgary original: Ginger Beef. Next up… a world record! We visit the tallest mural in the world, an incredible tower-size piece painted directly on a local high-rise. We continue to the award-winning Calgary Central Library, one of the most stunning modern buildings in the city. Finally, we explore the neighbourhood of Inglewood, one of the city’s oldest and coolest areas — full of funky shops, restaurants, and craft breweries. We wrap up the day at Cold Garden, a local favourite where we try some small-batch beer.
