In this video, I walk you through the correct, official way to regain access when you forgot your Android PIN, password, or pattern—without using a computer. The key thing to understand is this: if you’re locked out, the official Google-recommended solution is a factory reset. There isn’t a magic bypass here, and it’ll only work if the phone is actually yours, because you must sign in with the same Google account that’s already linked to that device. I show you how to do it from any other device with internet (another phone, iPhone, tablet, laptop—anything). You go to google.com/android/find, sign in with the exact Google account on the locked Android, select your device, and choose “Factory reset device.” After you confirm a few prompts, the reset request is sent and your phone wipes itself back to a “brand new” welcome screen. During setup, if you’re asked for the old PIN, you can unlock using your Google account instead, then create a new PIN/password/pattern (plus fingerprint/face) and restore your data from backups if you have them.
