About This Video

In this video I kick off a brand-new, temporary LEGO Arctic Explorer layout because my main LEGO city is already packed out. I’ve got the harbour, downtown, train station, industrial area, beach, residential and a big construction zone still in progress—but stuff like the snow plough, Arctic rescue vehicles, the new Arctic ambulance and especially the big Arctic train just doesn’t fit the vibe (or the space). So I’m setting up a separate Arctic wilderness scene that lets me actually display these sets properly. My plan is to keep it mostly empty, snowy wilderness, with a small runway area for the air ambulance plane, a straight “suggestion” of track (no full loop because it would hang off the edge), and the train’s tunnel/cave section pushed up against the wall to make it look like the line continues. I also start modding and building using parts I already own—no BrickLink orders this time—like recolouring an older Jungle Explorers truck to match the Arctic branding (white, dark blue, orange, medium azure) and tweaking a small helicopter to blend in. Then I build a simple orange-and-grey helipad platform, prep a bunch of minifigs to populate the scene, pick out a few Arctic animals, and even design a basic control tower inspired by a LEGO City cargo train tower. Next step: build the actual sets and start arranging the full display in the next update.
